DomeRock V4 Bundles
Product Description
Add on module to automatically turn on your rock lights in sync with the dome lights on your rig. Upgrade your existing rock lights to be able use your existing switch for anytime activation (great for night trail riding!) as well as activation from the dome lights. With this add-on the rock-lights will illuminate as triggered by the dome light. Unlocking the vehicle, approaching the vehicle (with key-less entry), opening the doors, will all trigger the lights on. Locking the doors, leaving the vehicle for a period of time, etc will turn them off.
Your dome lights are on a negatively switched circuit. Meaning it is not so simple to wire up in order to utilize both your switch (for anytime activation) AND turn on/off with the dome light. Utilizing a relay in the correct configuration and a few other electrical components allows this module to function properly. If you currently have a rock lights setup with a typical CH4x4 switch or SwitchPro setup this is all you need to be able to add the ability to trigger off of the dome light.
In V4 there are options for full plug n play harnesses that includes a T-Harness that connects into OEM wiring located in the A-Pillar. The only splice required is into the existing Rock Light Setup!
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE WIRED TO A RELAY! FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN HIGH HEAT, POTENTIAL FAILURE OF THE BOARD, AND MELTING OF THE ENCLOSURE. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT DIRECTLY FEED ANYTHING OTHER THAN A TYPICAL AUTOMOTIVE SPDT/DPDT RELAY! PLEASE REVIEW DIAGRAMS AND INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION.
3rd Gen Tacoma Plug N Play
This kit is for 3rd Gen Tacoma owners who do not want to splice factory wiring. There is an included T-Harness that allows for Plug N Play installation into factory wiring.
5th Gen 4-Runner (2016-2019)
This kit is plug n play for 5th Gen 4-Runners years 2016-2019 ONLY. It includes a T-Harness that plugs right into the OEM Connector of your rig (No splicing required).
Universal Kit
This kit is for those who don't mind using T-Taps to splice into the factory wiring. This is universal for vehicles that have a dome lights that fade using a pwm ground signal. See install instructions below for tap locations for 3rd Gen Tacoma, 5th Gen 4-Runner, and 2nd Gen Tacoma. (Pay attention to the model years).
3rd Gen Tacoma Plug N Play (MESO Puddles Add-On)
This kit is for 3rd Gen Tacoma owners who already have MESO Customs puddle lights. Meso uses the same T-Harness as the DomeRock V4. Therefore you do not need the T-Harness and only a special 3 way splitter is needed.
